Paris – France

Paris, France is best known because of the iconic Eiffel Tower. Going to Paris is a dream of many, and why not? Just seeing it in pictures is enough for anyone to wish to be there.

If you have an inclination to visual arts, then Paris is a definite must-see. Louvre Museum is perhaps the best known, which even has a collection of Egyptian and Far Eastern art. Guimet Museum is dedicated to Asian art. Musee d’ Orsay has some of the best impressionist paintings.

Palais de Tokyo collects contemporary art. Musee Jacquemart-Andre is a public museum of the affluent Edouard Andre. Petit Palais is home to the City Museum of Fine Arts. Fountains in Paris can also be considered works of art as they feature majestic sculptures. Acis and Galatea can be seen at the Medicis Fountain. The Fountain of Four Bishops is a majestic fountain at Saint-Sulpice Square. The fountains in Tuileries Gardens at Place de la Concorde are also popular.

Paris also has beautiful parks and greens. Bois de Vincennes is a park even larger than Hyde Park. Gardens of Luxembourg is the largest Park in all of France. Parc de la Villete is a modern park combining nature and entertainment.

A family trip would be happier with a visit to Disneyland Resort Paris. More than just an amusement park, it has hotels, restaurants and even a lake of its own called Lake Disney. Other places where you can spend your leisure time are places like Canal Saint Martin and Champs Elysees. These are places where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.

Entertainment venues are everywhere in Paris. Moulin Rouge’s famous cancan dance would never fail to delight any tourist. Garnier Opera is a place to watch art performances. Shopaholics would probably stop over at La Samartaine and Printemps. La Defense is one of Paris’ business areas.

Getting around Paris, anyone would marvel the intricately designed buildings around. Among the beautiful historic churches are: Notre Dame Cathedral, Les Invalides Church, Eglise Saint-Eustache Church, Pantheon and Sacre Coeur Basilica . Royal buildings like Palais de Justice, cheateaus like Chantilly and castles like Vaux le Vicomte are all pride of the city.
